Hardypond Construction was founded in 1990 by Robert J. Gaudreau.  Mr. Gaudreau comes from a background in engineering and land surveying and has used his experience of over 30 years in the construction industry to create the quality reputation that Hardypond enjoys today.  Robert’s commitment and dedication to Hardypond Construction has allowed the company to grow from two employees to the 12 it employs today.  Hardypond has nurtured lasting relationships with many subcontractors and is therefore able to bring the highest quality workmanship to any job. 

Hardypond Construction began in a home office on Hardy Road in Falmouth, Maine overlooking a large pond.  The company made a move to an old brick building on Bridgton Road (Rt. 302) in Westbrook as the need for more office space became apparent.  Today Hardypond Construction resides at 1039 Riverside Street in Portland, Maine in a complex that houses contractors and tradesmen of all sorts.  Hardypond is directly across the street from the Riverside Golf Course, a few miles from Maine Turnpike exit 48 and conveniently situated to serve all of Cumberland County and beyond.
